I am a surgical technician for almost 18 years. I have a son and daughter. My daughter is 15 years old and has Epilepsy.

In 2013, she had surgery for her seizures and things did not go as planned. She is now immobile, when she was previously independent. She has a g-tube for her feedings and life is no longer the same. I left my job of 16 years to be with my daughter. I was extremely depressed.

Found a running group in Temecula (I love to run), this was exactly one year ago. I have run 10 half marathons, 1 full marathon, finished the 6 peak challenge and summited Mt. Whitney in July 2016. I can’t look back. I am running my first 50K in October and can’t imagine I would have ever been where I am today a year ago.

I think passion is a key to success. Don’t let go of your passions. Set goals. They keep you moving forward. There is no time to look back.

I love to run and hike. This is my story.
