Growing up outside of Buffalo, NY I always remembered hearing there’s nothing to do here. As soon as I turned 18, I moved out West. After two years working on a military base teaching rock climbing, I moved back home to Buffalo. A friend asked if I wanted to try ice climbing. I had no idea there was ice climbing right in my back yard! Of course I jumped on the opportunity!

My first time was amazing and I was immediately hooked after scaling a 70 foot frozen waterfall. I invested in some incredible La Sportiva boots, some Black Diamond crampons and a pair of Nomic Ice Tools. Now I’m out exploring any chance I can to discover new ice climbs in my area! I love where I live and am so lucky to be able to share climbing with friends in Buffalo!
