Life Lesson The Trail Has Taught Me

When things get tough and the trail feels relentless, remember life is a series of small steps. Take time to rest and believe that the best view may be just around the corner. When you earn your miles the destination is better. Stop and reflect how far you’ve come. Find shelter from the rain and enjoy the roll of thunder. Cast brilliant shadows as you walk along. Let the rain cleanse your soul. Soak in the sun and count the stars in the sky. Dance in the morning and watch every sunset. Whistle with the birds and chirp with the chipmunks. Be as wise as an owl and as swift as a fox. Play in the water like the otters and howl at the moon like the wolves, but most of all let your family and friends cry with you like the coyotes. Be kind to yourself and be kind to Nature.

Be Blessed My Friends and do what makes you awesome.

Yes! My optimism that the best view ever may be just around the corner totally keeps me going sometimes… especially on the uphills… and that optimism drives my husband crazy cause he gets pretty grumpy when the trail gets tough. haha! Maybe one day I will rub off on him but I’m glad at least someone else can relate for now.
